DIRECTOR

Guido Ekker

Guido is a passionate filmmaker based in Amsterdam and a full-time member of The Panics. A graduate of the Netherlands Film Academy, he wanders the creative space between fiction, documentary filmmaking and visual effects!

His day job is as VFX Supervisor for The Panics’ specialist in-house Design/CG/VFX studio, Post Panic but he is also a Junior Director with the film production company.

He’s enjoyed international recognition and been awarded for his recent docu-short Shadowboxers which follows the journey of two competitive fighters in Amsterdam and was one of the finalists of Shortcutz Best Short in 2019. In 2018 he also turned heads with his ambitious Panic Room Titles which explored a dark fictitious world filled with cinematic film noir and seamless VFX fantasy.

As a director, Guido is on a journey to share knowledge, create something unique and push the boundaries of digital art and film.
